Followed Cristina to Dubai where she chaired the Selection Committee of the Zayid International Prize for the Environment. We took a car and a driver one day and drove north to Oman, up the east side of the country to Khasab, back south to Jebal al Harim and back to Dubai.  Didn’t make it to Muscat. Rocky and wild in the north, almost devoid of colour, which suited me just fine.
