I'M A THIRD-GENERATION PHOTOGRAPHER. MY WORK FOCUSES ON NATURE, REAL AND ABSTRACT.

GROWING UP IN MY FATHER'S DARKROOM I LEARNED PHOTOGRAPHY BY OSMOSIS, YOU MIGHT SAY. I GRADUATED FROM CRANBROOK SCHOOL, AMHERST COLLEGE AND OXFORD UNIVERSITY WHERE MY MENTORS TAUGHT ME BIOLOGY, EVOLUTION AND ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR. STILL, THE LITERARY AND ARCHITECTURAL ROOTS OF THEIR EXQUISITE INSTITUTIONS CONSTANTLY PULL MY EYE BACK TO THE FIGURATIVE AND VISUAL.

CHISELLED INTO AN ARCH AT THE CRANBROOK ART ACADEMY THERE'S A LINE FROM THE FOUNDER, GEORGE GOUGH BOOTH: A LIFE WITHOUT BEAUTY IS ONLY HALF LIVED.
